I have a semi nude scene, Boman announced

Mumbai: Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan is all set to debut as an actress now as she has finally met her on-screen match, Boman Irani.

Farah would share screen space with Boman in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. The first look of the film was unveiled by actress Madhuri Dixit.

Farah plays a Parsi woman, who falls in love with a 45-year-old man, played by Boman, from the same community. Boman did not hesitate in declaring that it was his own Dirty Picture.

Known for her catty sense of humour, Farah was at her wittiest best when she and Boman unveiled the first look of their film.

"I have a semi nude scene," Boman announced.

"We spent a lot of time playing in his vanity van. Just playing. We are good friends," Farah clarified.

"There was a kissing scene in the film which Farah refused to do. But later she came to my van and said we should practise. So we practised for an hour or two till our mouths ached. After that she said she can't give the shot. So we practised every day," Boman added.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's sister Bela Bhansali Sehgal, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi sure looks refreshing. Imitation is the best form of flattery.

Don't have a personal life: Sonakshi Sinha

Actor Sonakshi Sinha has been in the limelight since making her debut with Dabangg in 2010, be it for her figure or the men she is supposed to be dating. With four of her films due to hit the theatres this year, the 24-year-old actress says she does not have a personal life and would rather talk about her films.

"I want to be talked about for the films I am doing than a party I attended, the dress I wore and the men I may have met and dated. In any case, by and large I think I have spoken about more for the profession I am in than my personal life. That's the way I like it because frankly, I don't really have a personal life to begin with," Sonakshi told PTI.

When asked how she deals with all the talking about her, she said, "One thing which I know about this world of glamour is that it is better to have people talking about you than not being talked about at all. It is okay, they are doing their job; I would continue to do mine. I can't have control over what others think or say about you."

The daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has quite a hectic schedule as four of her films Rowdy Rathore, Joker, Son Of Sardar and Dabangg 2 are in the offing. "You feel stressed when you think that you are working. When I am doing movies, I don't feel that way at all. When I wake up in the morning and then get dressed up for the job, I feel good because this is what I want. I am the happiest that way and honestly, if at all I get a day or two off, I get restless," Sonakshi said.

The actor also said that she is happy to be balancing her career by making some well thought of choices, like Rowdy Rathore opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is the Hindi remake of Telugu film Vikramarkudu.

"When I watch a film, I watch it as an audience instead of thinking as an actor or an intellectual. I see whether it made me laugh, get involved or shocked me at certain points. Something has to stir inside me. This is what Vikramarkudu, the original Telugu version of Rowdy Rathore, did to me. I enjoyed it's 'masaledaar' flavour every bit as it was pretty much packed with action, romance, drama and comedy. I knew there and then that it was a great film to be a part of," she said.

Randeep reveals getting hot in bed with Sunny

Mumbai: That ‘Jism 2’ will be full of surprises is a no surprise to us anymore. With fresh updates making their way straight to the tabloids every other day, there is no doubt that this movie is going to be on the ‘must watch’ list of anyone who loves cinema or Sunny Leone!
So for those who are always on a lookout for tasteful gossip pertaining to ‘Jism 2’, here is one coming from the horse’s mouth. Recently, actor Randeep Hooda, who stars with Sunny Leone in the movie, shared his experience on the bedroom sequence shot with the porn star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone.

As soon as the shooting was wrapped up, he said “Just finished a major lovemaking scene for Jism2. Extreme, exhausting and exhilarating! Hope we can turn people ‘on’ all over with it.”

Earlier, Randeep was seen bedding Mahie Gill in the movie ‘Sahib, Biwi aur Ghulam’ which means that inhibitions on his part are not expected. Yet how hot the lovemaking sequence in ‘Jism 2’ is will only be judged once the movie hits the theatres later this year.

Banerjee is the country's best director

Mumbai: Filmmakers rarely applaud each other's work but Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee are all praises for each other. After watching 'Shanghai', Kashyap has declared it is the best film he has ever watched and Banerjee is the country's best director.

"It's a film that should be made compulsory for everybody to watch. This is the most powerful and the best film I have seen in a long time," Kashyap said here Thursday at a special screening of 'Shanghai'.

"Dibakar Banerjee is the best filmmaker in the country. Period. There is no scope for discussion on this," he added.

'Shanghai', featuring Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi and Kalki Koechlin in prominent roles, focusses on politics and corruption.

Kashyap even took to Twitter after the film's screening and called it a "visceral, stunning and ballsiest film ever made in this country".

Banerjee, who has earlier helmed projects like 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' and 'Love Sex Aur Dhokha', believes Kashyap is an inspiring filmmaker.

"Anurag is too generous and I also think that probably because Anurag is around in the scene and he makes it so exciting and at the same time encouraging is what gives other filmmakers the guts to actually go ahead and do what they are doing," he said.

"It's very exciting to have someone like Anurag around because you kind of get excited to do more exciting stuff," he added.

Kashyap's two-part series 'Gangs of Wasseypur' received critical acclaim at the recently concluded 65th Cannes International Film Festival.

The movie is now set for premiere at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, to be held in Singapore June 7-9.

Rowdy Rathore is two star rating film

Film: Rowdy Rathore
Director: Prabhu Deva
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Paresh Ganatra
Rating: **

Watching a Bollywood masala flick in a single screen theatre has a charm of its own. The whistles, catcalls, hooting and applause accompany and enhance the grand entries onscreen. The effect at Matunga’s Star City for Rowdy Rathore is the same as it is when watching a Rajinikanth movie at Aurora.

Prabhu Deva (returns as director after Wanted) brings to the table the look and feel of a South Indian film, while setting it in Bihar.
Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a smalltime conman in Mumbai, assisted by S2 (Paresh Ganatra). A BMC bench, hospital beds, postbox, railway clocks, donation box, cab door and a security entry are embellishments in their modest home in a Malad locality.
Meanwhile, in Bihar’s Devgarh town, a gang of local goons is readying to kill Assistant Superintendant of Police Vikram Rathore (Akshay again), Shiva’s doppelganger. Shiva hates kids and when he finds himself stuck with a little girl Chinky is when the real ‘story’ unfolds.

Staying true to his South India roots, Prabhu Deva ropes in Tamil actor Vijay and shakes a leg with him in Chin ta ta ta. Kareena Kapoor also makes a cameo in the same song. After meandering aimlessly for most of the first half, Rowdy Rathore gathers steam just before the interval and the second half makes for entertaining viewing. Not because the plot is so cool, or Akshay is so funny. They aren’t.

Rowdy Rathore has some very well-executed action scenes. There’s no doubting that the fun in these remakes of South films is directly proportional to how many and for long a hero can beat up rogues. To be rolling on the floor laughing would be asking for too much. A lot of the comedy seems forced and Akshay tends to ham too. In terms of acting, two years on and Sonakshi’s Dabangg hangover is still on. She does nothing much except for some deadly pelvic thrusts in the song Dhadang Dhadang. Hers is more of an ornamental role, while Akshay steals the show. The one-liners aren’t supremely impressive, but ASP Rathore’s screen presence is. Sanjay Sankla’s editing screams for attention, so do Akshay’s multi-coloured pants.

A lot in Rowdy Rathore defies general logic, but who goes to watch these movies for smart repartee anyway. Shiraz Ahmed’s dialogue is passable, nothing much too memorable to take home. Even the music isn’t worth raving about. After a while, the Chin ta ta induces the some effect the Salman’sTeao teao teao ringtone did in Bodyguard. Every single song in Rowdy Rathore only adds to the runtime. Watching Prabhu Deva making his moves is like therapy, sadly it comes too early on in the film.

Akshay’s me-too is fun while it lasts. Watch it for him, lest he feels bad for jumping on the South remake bandwagon too late to get any attention.
